Theory Synopses

I am attaching below short statements on the basic arguments of a number of theoretical traditions. In my books on both classical and more contemporary theories (see my vita), there are more detailed analyses of sociological theories.  But sometimes, a really short synopsis on the thrust of a theory can be useful as an outline for a lecture or a kind of really condensed Cliff note.
